The Greek Film Festival returns to Palace Cinemas in October to showcase the best of contemporary Greek Cinema. This year’s Opening Night feature is Pantelis Voulgarisā€™ masterpiece THE LAST NOTE, a gripping historical drama based on real events.

The film tells the true story of the execution of 200 Greek resistance fighters by the German occupiers on May 1st, 1944 in Kaisariani, as reprisal for the Greek Resistance ambush against Nazis. It stars Andreas Konstantinou (Best Actor at the 2018 Hellenic Film Academy Awards).

“This is ultimately how we should be leaving screenings about the history of war and broken lives: with tears in our eyes.” – Cineuropa
