HISTORY OF THE GREEK TRADITIONAL DANCING GROUP

The Greek Traditional Dancing Group is a continuing dancing group, which was first was established in 1991 by Anastasia Spyropoulos for one reason:

“To teach the Greek traditions ethics and customs.”

Over the last 8 years, the Greek Traditional Dance group, a non-for-profit organisation, has approximately 150 students from all over Greece (Rhodes, Kos, Kerkira, Kalymnos, Athens, Crete), Cyprus, Serbia and Australia.

The Greek Traditional Dancing Group has taken part in a number of dancing performances with serious and entertaining shows. The biggest performances have been at the Local Greek Glenti, which continues every year in June with big success. We have also travelled overseas to Kalymnos in Greece

The Greek Traditional Dancing Group will continue to give all the above and continue the tradition with the same experienced teacher from the LYKEIO ELLINIDON KALYMNOU Anastasia Spyropoulos Mastrandreas.
